Select the Create PDF tool from the right menu and choose Scanner.
Acrobat will recognize any connected scanner and give you the option to append (add) the scanned document to an existing file or create a new one. Acrobat also provides Create PDF access from the Tools menu at the top of the screen, or through the convenient icons in the toolbar on the right side of the screen. You can access the Create PDF tools by the traditional File > Create method. Not only can you create a PDF from within other programs, but you can also create a PDF directly from Acrobat without having to open any other program. Pro tip: Select multiple image files from your desktop, right-click, and choose Save As PDF. You can save these individually or in batches for proofing and portability. Just as you can save word processor file types to a PDF, so can you also collect different image formats like PNG, JPG, and SVG to save as a PDF. You can also File > Export as an Interactive PDF for accessibility and other interactive formats as well.

Photoshop: File > Export exports your native PSD file as a PDF with options for reduced file sizes.
Illustrator: File > Save As contains options for you to share Illustrator documents with others while retaining file integrity as an Illustrator-compatible PDF.

To remove a source file, select it and click Delete File.
Click OK and the new files are added to the Stapler job to be combined into a single PDF. When you click Open, the Stapler wizard appears. If that is desirable, hold down CTRL or SHIFT while selecting the new files.
Selecting multiple files is allowed, but doing so will open the Stapler wizard in order to combine the new files into a single PDF.
To convert individual sources into distinct PDFs, select only one file (see the note below for information about selecting multiple files).Ĭlick Open.

The Select Files for Conversion dialog box appears. When selected, a new Stapler job opens with the selected files already populated as sources. To include the files found in this folder's subfolders, select Include Subfolders first.
Navigate to and select the desired folder, then click Select Folder. When clicked, the Add Files from Folder dialog box appears.
Add Folder: Adds all files found within a selected folder.

The Stapler can combine all the files into one PDF or convert each to a separate PDF. The Stapler wizard opens with the source files listed in the order in which they will appear in the PDF. Hold down CTRL or SHIFT to select multiple files.
Navigate to and select the files to include in the PDF.
